Purpose of This Website
The purpose of this website is to connect homeowners, HOAs and property managers with independent, licensed pool builders and pool service companies, and to publish free, sourced information about pools.

The Purpose of This Website and Why It Exists
Hiring a pool company is a large, infrequent purchase. Licensing rules change from state to state, quotes are hard to compare, and a website or a truck wrap tells you nothing about whether a company is licensed. Pool Construction & Service (PC&S) exists to make the first steps easier: finding companies that cover your area, checking the basics, and understanding costs and rules before you sign.
Our research on pool contractor license requirements by state shows why the checks matter: 14 of 51 US jurisdictions (the 50 states plus DC) issue a dedicated pool contractor license, while 16 states leave contractor licensing to cities and counties (rules in force October 5, 2026).
We Connect You With Independent Providers
- We do not build, remodel, repair or service pools.
- We are not a party to any contract between you and a pool company.
- We never take deposits or payments for pool work, and we hold no customer money.
- We do not employ the crews who work on your pool.
How This Website Makes Money
Homeowners pay nothing. Requesting quotes, talking to us and reading the site are free, and you are under no obligation to hire anyone.
Pool companies may pay us for introductions. When a pool company in our network receives an introduction to someone who asked for quotes, that company may pay us a fee. That is how the site is funded. We do not run ads and we do not sell your details to list brokers.
We do not add a fee to the price a pool company quotes you, and you never pay PC&S for anything. Any price you agree is between you and the pool company.
What Payment Does Not Buy
- A company that does not pass our checks does not receive introductions, whether or not it would pay.
- Pool companies cannot pay to appear in, edit or approve our guides or research. See our editorial standards.
- We stay neutral about named companies in our content and do not publish reviews we cannot verify.
How Introductions Work
- You ask for quotesThrough the quote form, you share your ZIP code, the work you need, a budget range, your timeline and how to reach you.
- We matchDepending on your ZIP code and project, we introduce you to one pool company or to several that cover your area and the type of work.
- They contact youThe matched companies receive your details so they can call, text or email you about your project. You decide whether to go further.
Your details go only to the pool companies matched to your project. Read the privacy policy for the detail, or opt out on do not sell or share.
